RECAP :

In the Forman basement, Hyde and Eric are watching tv. Fez comes running in and tells the guys that he just planted a stink bomb; a few moments later, Kelso comes in stinking like a skunk. The guys laugh at him, but Kelso’s upset because he’s on his way to see Jackie, and doesn’t want to go smelling like a skunk, then leaves. Fez tells the guys that he has five more stink bombs left and asks if they want to help him use them tonight, but Eric says no, he’s going to the movies with Donna, then adds that he doesn’t get to see her very much any more. Hyde laughs and says that Eric is like the wife of a famous radio personality. This reminds Eric that Donna’s farm report is on, so he turns on the radio. After listening to her tell the prices of pork bellies, he hears her say that she’ll be there for the evening reports too; he’s upset, because this ruins their plans for a movie, so he leaves to go to the station. After he’s gone, Fez tells Hyde that he put a stink bomb in Eric’s back pocket.

At the radio station, Donna is shelving records. Eric asks about going to the movies, but she tells him that another person called in sick, so she’s staying to cover the shift. Eric tells her that her job is cutting into her "Eric-time", and that he doesn’t like that. Max comes in, thanks Donna for working so hard, and gives her tickets to a Ted Nugent concert. Donna tells Eric that because she’s been doing so much overtime, she arranged to get tickets for the whole gang for the concert, and Eric is no longer upset, but is now feeling a little guilty.

In the car, Kelso is explaining to Jackie why he smells so bad, telling her a fake story about finding a lost skunk and taking it to the zoo where it might find love. Jackie buys the story, then asks what they should do now; Kelso suggests that they do it, but Jackie tells him that she wants their second first time to be romantic and magical. Kelso suggests a special day and Jackie likes this idea. She likes it so much that she decides that it should be a special week. Kelso isn’t happy about this, because although it will be seven times as much fun, it will also be seven times longer to wait.

In the Forman kitchen, Bob and Midge are visiting Red and Kitty. Bob comments that it’s their 18th anniversary soon; both he and Midge start reminiscing about when they first met. Kitty asks Red if he can remember when they first met. Red tells her that he can, and remembers: it was 1952, and he was at a USO dance with his buddies when he saw the most beautiful girl there - Kitty. Another sailor came up to her and started bothering her, so Red punched him out. Kitty says that that’s not how it happened at all.

At the Ted Nugent concert, Fez and Hyde tell the gang about the counterfeit t-shirts that they made to sell after the concert. Eric asks where they got the money for the t-shirts; Hyde tells him that he took it from Eric’s stash. Fez holds up one of the t-shirts; it reads "Tad Nugent". Hyde tries to explain to him that he misspelled the name, but Fez doesn’t understand, saying that you spell "Ted" T-A-D. Hyde says that the t-shirs are useless and that Eric’s out fifty dollars.

In the Forman livingroom, Red sits on the sofa thinking; Bob and Midge are staring at him. Bob suggests hypnosis to help Red remember; Midge suggests that he retrace his steps, then asks him what he had for breakfast today. Kitty comes in and asks if he remembers yet; Red admits that he doesn’t. Kitty tells him that she remembers it very well because it was the most important day of her life, then tells him that it was November 17, 1953 at a USO dance. Red listens, then tells her that she must be thinking of some other "most important day" because he was in Korea in November, 1953. Kitty asks if maybe he came home for a weekend, then tells him that he had better put on his thinking cap and remember.

At the concert, the band is thanking everyone as they leave the stage; the gang agrees that they all had a great time. Hyde and Fez head off to try and sell their t-shirts; the rest of the gang starts to head off, but Max comes over to talk to Donna. He tells her that he’s tired, and offers her his backstage pass, but he only has one, so Eric can’t join her. She takes it and tells Eric that she’ll be back in five minutes, but after she’s gone, Max tells Eric that he’ll probably never see Donna again.

At the concert, Hyde and Fez try to sell their t-shirts, although they’re advertising them as crappy, misspelled t-shirts. Kelso and Jackie come by, and Jackie notices a puddle of vomit on the ground, so Kelso takes one of the t-shirts to cover it up so that Jackie can walk over it. She decides that he’s being very romantic.

Backstage, Donna is in a room with the band and some other girls. As she comes in, Ted Nugent asks, "Who ordered the redhead?" then introduces her to the other groupies. She tells him that she’s a really big fan but not a groupie, then starts babbling. She happens to mention that she works at a radio station, and he offers to give her an interview.

At the concert, Eric sees Hyde and Fez, and asks them if they’ve seen Donna. A police officer comes up as Eric is takling to them. He tells them to have fun in jail, and leaves.

[Scene change: a shot from below as Hyde, Fez and Kelso walk across the screen.]

At the concert, Eric is sitting alone in the seats, talking about how Donna just left him there. A bored looking janitor stands, mop in hand, not really listening to him. The janitor finally tells Eric to move his feet, then adds that he’s not listening to him, so Eric should stop talking to himself.

Backstage, Ted Nugent is playing the guitar. When he finishes, Donna applauds, but the other girls just sit and look dazed. Donna, surprised that they have no reaction, asks, "What, are you on dope?" then realizes that they are. She says that she has to go, but Ted Nugent convinces her to stay by offering to let her touch his guitar.

In the Vista Cruiser, Jackie tells Kelso that this was a very magical day. Kelso tells her that it’s now after midnight, so they’re on magical day number two now, and tells her his plans for the rest of the week, which includes wearing a tuxedo and going on a rickshaw ride. Jackie is so happy and impressed that she tells Kelso she wants to do it now. He tries to protest, but she tells him that he’s irresistible. They start to make out; Eric comes out and knocks on the window, telling them that he wants in, and he’s had a bad day, but Kelso won’t let him into the car.

In the Forman livingroom, Kitty is looking through a photo album, and is upset that she can’t remember how she and Red met. Red hastily agrees that he’s upset about it too, then gives her a drink, telling her that he ~does~ remember that her favorite drink is a Manhattan. Kitty happily takes a sip, saying that it’s been 20 years since she’s had one. As she drinks, she suddenly remembers how she and Red met: at a USO dance, Kitty is drinking Manhattans, and is drunk. Red and his buddy are there as well, also drinking. They take one last drink for courage, then pull down their pants revealing their underwear with "Hello Ladies" written across them. Kitty, on her way to the Ladies’ Room bumps into Red and falls down. He helps her up and they introduce themselves to each other. Red and Kitty are both horrified at this memory; Red tells Kitty that if Eric ever asks, they’ll tell him the story with Red punching out the other marine.

At the concert, Eric sits on the hood of the Vista Cruiser looking cold and bored. Donna comes running out, excited about her evening, and tells Eric everything that happened backstage. Eric sarcastically tells her about his exciting evening - meeting the janitor and seeing Kelso’s butt. He tells Donna that he’s angry because she ditched him; she tells him that this was a huge opportunity for her because now she’ll be able to talk about something other than pork bellies on the radio. Eric tells her that his mom never would have ditched his dad; Donna points out that Red and Kitty are married. Eric tells her to forget it, the argument is over and she’s sorry and that’s all that matters; but Donna tells him that she’s not sorry. Hyde and Fez come over to the car and tell them that the police had to release them because the misspelling on the t-shirts meant that they weren’t counterfeit. Kelso looks out the car window and tells them all to shut up because they’re ruining the magic.

[End credits: In the Forman basement, the gang sits around; Kelso comes in wearing a powder blue tuxedo. Hyde tells him that he looks like a clown; Eric comments that it’s a nice rental, but Kelso tells him that he bought it. Jackie says that she thinks he looks handsome; Kelso asks Fez if he wants to pull a rickshaw, telling him that it’s fun.]
